HISTORY:

Late 1999: Rebarbative Recordings was formed by 888 as a small mailorder and DIY label for the purpose of releasing various projects, mainly ones involving its founder.  The credo: "Spider Musick For Spider People".  The following releases would result:

• REB-001 - DEAD TO EARTH "Demo's 1999-2001" CDr (February 2001) - Dead To Earth and Secludere early demo's. This version included a bonus track from Ancient Spider Cult and about 60 copies were made. About half of those were packaged in a paper-envelope with notes / text and no cover art.  The later half were packaged in a jewelcase with artwork.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
• REB-001v2 - DEAD TO EARTH "Demo's 1999-2001" CDr (September 2001) - Same as above but with a new D.T.E. track replacing the A.S.C. track and slightly different cover-art.  About 90-100 copies.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
• REB-002 - GHASTLY SECRET "Nachtmusik" CDr (September 2001).  Re-issue of the Horror Metal band's two demo's recorded in 1994-1996.  About 50 copies.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
• (no number) - HIEROPHANT "The Weight Of Winter" (October 2002) - Edition of 60 copies on black cd-r by agreement with Hierophant.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
• (no number) - HIEROPHANT "Autumn Dusk" (October 2002) - Edition of 60 copies on black cd-r by agreement with Hierophant.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
• REB-003 - DEAD TO EARTH / SHROUD OF DESPONDENCY - Split-CDr (November 2002) - New recordings from both entities.  About 150 copies.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Several releases had also been planned but were scrapped due to many problems, and the label ended in early 2003 in favor of other pursuits.

The name has mutated over time into Rebarbative Productions.
